Barbara June Dodge is an experienced educator in the field of theater, currently serving as an Instructor at the Plaza de la Raza Cultural Center for Arts and Education since February 2022, where teaching responsibilities include Fairy Tale Theater and Acting for Teens. With a long tenure at Orange County School of the Arts since August 1990 as a Teaching Artist, Barbara hires and trains instructors while facilitating play-making processes in collaboration with various artists and community members. As an Outreach Coordinator at the California State Summer School Arts Foundation since September 2017 and Faculty/Co-Chair of Theater at the California State Summer School for the Arts since July 1989, Barbara facilitates summer intensives and student interactions. Previous roles include lecturing at USC and serving as a Teaching Artist at both the Shakespeare Center Los Angeles and Center Theatre Group. Educational qualifications include an M.F.A. in Speech and Dramatic Arts from the University of Iowa and a B.A. in Theatre Arts from California State University, Long Beach.
