Julia Gutierrez has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Julia began their career as a clerk at City News Service Inc. in 2012 and went on to work as a copy editor and staff writer at Daily Titan, CSU Fullerton. In 2014, they interned as a public relations intern at Geek & Sundry and also worked as a copy editor at Tusk Magazine. Starting in 2015, they served as a marketing coordinator at Lollicup USA Inc., where they specialized in writing copy for marketing materials. In 2017, Julia became self-employed as a freelance writer, working with various clients on projects such as blogs, social media posts, web pages, and book manuscripts. Julia also worked as a private tutor, assisting STEM students in grades K-7 with their academic studies and study skills. In 2017, they joined Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA) as a public relations and communications associate, eventually progressing to the role of public relations and communications manager. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Public Relations at Orange County School of the Arts, where they lead a team in overseeing all aspects of public relations, social media, and media outreach for OCSA and its sister campus.
Julia Gutierrez obtained a Bachelor's Degree from California State University, Fullerton in 2014. Julia'sdouble major was in Communications, Journalism, and Sociology. Julia also holds a Social Marketing Certification from Hootsuite, obtained in 2020, and a Poynter/ACES Certificate in Editing from ACES: The Society for Editing, obtained in 2015.
