Heather Capps is an experienced Human Resources professional with a focus on benefits and disability management. Currently serving as a Human Resources Manager (Benefits & Disability Programs Officer) at Orange County Superior Court since March 2011, Heather provides expertise in integrated disability management and administers employee benefit programs for 1,500 court employees. Prior to this role, Heather held various positions at Altegrity, including Leave of Absence Manager and Human Resources Project Manager, where responsibilities included managing leaves for 11,000 employees and aligning HR initiatives. Earlier experience includes roles at HireRight as a Stock & Benefits Administrator and Human Resources Coordinator, as well as a Senior Peer Health Educator at the University of California, Irvine. Heather holds a BA in Social Ecology and a Certificate in Human Resources Management from UC Irvine.
Orange County Superior Court
The Superior Court of California, County of Orange, is the fifth largest trial court in the nation. The Court handles over 500,000 annual case filings and serves the County’s population, which exceeds 3 million. The Court operates five justice centers, in eight locations throughout Orange County, and handles all types of state cases including civil, criminal, traffic, family, juvenile, and probate. We have over 140 judicial officer positions and employ over 1500 people in more than 70 different job classifications to perform a wide range of functions including accounting, office and courtroom support, computer programming and system support, legal research, family mediation services, and administrative management.
