Benjamin T. Smith, P.E. has extensive work experience in the field of engineering. Benjamin T. started their career as an Engineering Intern at Always Engineering, Inc. from 2008 to 2009, gaining experience in drafting, land surveying, and engineering technician roles.

In 2010, Benjamin joined the Orange County Water District as Director of Recharge and Wetland Operations, where they managed and oversaw a team of 20+ staff. Benjamin T.'sresponsibilities included optimizing system percolation, facility use planning, stormwater capture and routing, and maintenance of facilities and equipment. Benjamin T. also administered the District's non-potable reuse project, the Green Acres Project.

From 2012 to 2022, Benjamin served as Principal Engineer at the Orange County Water District, demonstrating their expertise and leadership in engineering.

In 2021, Benjamin established their own company, Ben Smith Engineering, where they serve as the Owner and Principal.
