Jodi Detjen, DBA has a diverse and extensive work experience. Jodi is currently working as the Associate Dean of Innovative Education and Programs and as an Associate Professor of the Practice at Suffolk University. Jodi has been teaching management to students at the MBA, Undergraduate, and Corporate Education levels since 1999, both online and in the classroom, and has received high praise from their students. Jodi is also a Co-Founder and Principal at Orange Grove Consulting, where they specialize in organizational change, Inclusion, Women's Leadership, and curriculum design for Engineering, Science, and Technology-focused organizations. In addition, they co-authored a book titled "The Orange Line: A Woman's Guide to Integrating Career, Family and Life", exploring work-life balance for women. Jodi has served as a Board Director for WEST - Women in the Enterprise of Science and Technology and was a co-founder at The Intrinsic Group, where they helped organizations leverage their people and processes for maximum effectiveness. Prior to that, they worked as a Principal at American Management Systems, where they gained expertise in international management consulting, focusing on operations redesign and organizational change projects.
Jodi Detjen, DBA has a diverse educational background. Jodi earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Science and Decision Support Systems from Virginia Tech - Pamplin College of Business in 1986. In 1997, they obtained a Master of Arts degree from Duke University, specializing in International Development Policy with an emphasis on Organizational Development. Recently, in 2021, Jodi completed their Doctor of Business Administration degree at Temple University. Jodi also holds multiple certifications in areas such as Inclusive Leadership, Diverse Hiring, Inclusive Facilitation, Difficult Conversations for DEI, Unconscious Bias: The Reframe, and Women in Leadership, all obtained from Orange Grove Consulting throughout different years.
