Curtis Roberts II has extensive experience in communications and marketing. Curtis has worked in various roles at different companies throughout their career. Starting in 1991, they worked as a District Executive for the Boy Scouts of America. Curtis then served as the Marketing and Communications Director at the United Way of Central Virginia from 1995 to 1998. After that, they worked as an Account Manager at Hooks Associates Public Relations from 1998 to 2000. Curtis then joined GE Financial Assurance as a Channel Marketing Manager from 2000 to 2002. Curtis later worked at Genworth Financial as a Product Marketing Manager from 2002 to 2006, and as an Interactive Marketing Manager from 2007 to 2009. Curtis worked as a Strategic Communications Consultant at Refractive Communications from 2009 to 2010, and as a Social Media Strategy at Stimulus Advertising from 2009 to 2010. From 2010 to 2017, they held various positions at Areva, including Renewables Communications Manager, Online Strategy Manager, Director of Digital Media Communications, and Director of Digital Media and Press Officer. Currently, Curtis works at Orano as the Senior Director of Communications and Press Officer.
Curtis Roberts II holds an MBA in Business from the University of Lynchburg, which they completed from 1998 to 2002. Prior to that, they obtained a BA in English from Christopher Newport University from 1988 to 1991. Curtis also attended the University of Maryland from 1984 to 1987, studying Anthropology. Additionally, Curtis has obtained certifications in Change Management from ESSEC Executive Education in 2018, and in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from Genworth in 2003.
