Jean-Marc Leistel

Jean-Marc Leistel is an experienced professional in the field of geology and data management. Currently serving as Chief Data Officer at Orano Mining since July 2007, Leistel oversees data management for geosciences, including databases, GIS, modeling, and archives. Prior to this role, Leistel worked at BRGM from July 1990 to June 2007 as a Project Coordinator and managed European projects focused on mineral resources. Previously, Leistel held positions as an Exploration Geologist and Project Manager at Société Métallurgique d'Imiter from July 1986 to June 1990, where responsibilities included surface exploration and monitoring open-pit mining operations. Leistel earned a PhD in Geology from the University of Nancy between 1981 and 1984.
