Julien Rey

Julien Rey is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in strategic management and project leadership within the mining and chemical industries. Currently serving as the Strategy and Partnerships Manager at Orano since March 2018, Julien leads initiatives focused on valorizing uranium from phosphates through innovative processes. Previously, Julien held the role of Project Manager for a €12M project aimed at industrializing uranium extraction from unconventional sources. Prior experience includes a stint at Solvay in Innovation Management and Marketing, as well as research roles at CEA, where Julien completed a PhD in Soft Matter, and at the Institut de technologie du Cambodge, focusing on arsenic filtration for potable water treatment. Julien's educational background includes a Master’s Degree in Innovation Management from emlyon business school and an Engineering Degree in Physical Chemistry from ECPM.
