Neil Bothwell

Neil Bothwell has over 19 years of experience in the finance and accounting industry. Neil began their career in 2002 as a Senior Consultant at Nexen Inc., where they were responsible for legal entity reporting, coordinating intercompany transactions, and researching the impact of new accounting and regulatory standards. In 2005, they moved to Husky Energy as a Senior Consultant, where they designed, documented, and tested business processes. The following year, they joined Baytex Energy Ltd. as a Senior Consultant, leading the company's initial SOX 404 filing. In 2008, they became the Chief Financial Officer of GasFrac Energy Services, where they were responsible for training, recruitment, and development of the entire accounting and finance function. From 2010 to 2012, Neil worked as a Senior Consultant at Molopo Energy Limited and Athabasca Oil Corporation, respectively. In 2012, they took on the role of Chief Financial Officer at Sabre Well Servicing. In 2014, they moved to WISE Intervention Services Inc. as the Chief Financial Officer and in 2021, they became a CFO Advisor at OraQ AI. In addition, Neil founded and directed Risk Oversight, a boutique consulting firm providing professional services to roughly fifty (50) public companies from 2005 to 2021.

Neil Bothwell obtained their Chartered Accountant Designation from Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) in 1999. From 1991 to 1995, they attended Queen's University where they earned their BCOMM in Commerce. Neil also attended the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management, CPA Alberta, Dr. E. P. Scarlett, EP Scarlett, and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta, where they obtained their Chartered Accountant designation.
