Lorenzo Falzarano

Lorenzo Falzarano is the Founder and CEO of Orb, a company specializing in ultra-sensitive precision spectroscopic sensors and a Decision Intelligence Platform for real-time non-destructive water biological monitoring, aimed at identifying microbial risks and optimizing water treatment. Lorenzo co-founded a low-cost membrane water treatment system for low-resource economies at Stealth Water Startup from 2011 to 2013. Prior experience includes co-founding Better Energy Systems, where Lorenzo led the development of the award-winning Solio™, a pioneering portable Hybrid Solar Battery that contributed to the pay-as-you-go solar model in Africa, as well as overseeing the design and launch of environmentally-friendly protective cases for consumer electronics. Lorenzo holds a Master of Science in Architecture: Advanced Environmental and Energy Studies from the University of East London and the Centre for Alternative Technology, and continues to engage with Schumacher College for ongoing education.
