Mohammed Asmal

Mohammed Asmal is a physician-scientist and biotechnology leader with extensive experience in clinical development across multiple therapeutic areas. They have served as Chief Medical Officer at Prime Medicine, Inc., and previously held leadership roles including Vice President at bluebird bio and Medical Director at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, where they contributed to clinical strategy and drug development. Mohammed has also taught at Harvard Medical School and participated in significant research in infectious diseases and gene therapy. With a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and an M.D. from Columbia University, they have authored several publications and presented at major academic conferences.
