Vivek Sivathanu

Vivek Sivathanu, PhD, is a Principal at OrbiMed, where they focus on venture capital investments in biotech, medtech, and diagnostics. Prior to this role, they were part of the Biotechnology equity research team at Evercore ISI and a management consultant at Simon-Kucher & Partners, where they advised clients on drug pricing and commercial strategy. Vivek received a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering and Technology Commercialization from MIT, researching muscle strength enhancement pathways and personalized medicine for cancer therapy. Additionally, they have held roles at Flagship Ventures and the NSF Science & Technology Center for Emergent Behaviors of Integrated Cellular Systems.
