Instructional Designer II at Orbis Education

Heather Cook, M.Ed. has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Heather started their career in 2003 as a Math Teacher at Great Oaks Institute of Tech and later worked as a Teacher at Sylvan Learning Centers in 2006. In the same year, they also worked as a Math Teacher at College of Southern Nevada and as a Teacher at Calvary Chapel Green Valley Christian Academy in 2007.

In 2008, Cook joined Covington Community High School as a High School Mathematics Teacher for a year. Heather then transitioned to the field of curriculum consulting, working at Certica Solutions from 2010 - 2020 and Pearson from 2018 - 2020 in the role of Curriculum Consultant.

In 2020, Cook took on the role of Mathematics Aligner at Rainbow Concepts for the first half of the year before joining Orbis Education as an Instructional Designer II, where they currently work.

Heather Cook, M.Ed., began their education journey in 1999 at Bowling Green State University. Heather completed a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics Teacher Education from 1999 to 2003. During the same period, they also earned a Bachelor in Science of Education with a focus on Secondary Education and Teaching.

Motivated to further enhance their expertise, Heather pursued a Master in Art of Education at the University of Phoenix from 2004 to 2006. This program allowed their to specialize in Curriculum and Instruction, gaining valuable insights into instructional design and educational strategies.

With their strong educational background in both mathematics education and curriculum development, Heather Cook, M.Ed., is well-equipped to contribute to the field of education and support the learning and development of their students.
