Shawn Hendricks has had a diverse and extensive work experience. Shawn started their career as Deputy Program Manager at PMA-280, Tomahawk Program Office, where they were responsible for the development of the Torpedo Tube Launched version of the Block IV Tomahawk and other special projects. Shawn then moved on to Defense Security Cooperation Agency, where they served as Military Assistant to the Deputy Director, providing support and coordination for $21B in foreign military sales.
After that, Hendricks joined the US Navy, National Reconnaissance Office as Deputy Program Director, overseeing spacecraft production for a $13B+ national imagery satellite and managing a program office of 40 government employees and 120 support contractors. Shawn was also responsible for maintaining relationships with a contractor base of over 2,000 individuals.
Hendricks then worked at the US Navy as a Program Director, overseeing shore-based networks that serviced over 800,000 personnel worldwide. Shawn was recognized with the US Navy Competition Excellence Acquisition Team of the Year Award in 2013 for their outstanding work.
Following their time in the Navy, Hendricks took on the role of Wounded Warrior Program Manager at SPAWAR, where they developed and maintained relationships between industry partners and the Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Manpower and Reserve Affairs Wounded Warrior program office, connecting transitioning veterans to jobs in industry.
Shawn then joined L3 SSG as a Senior Program Manager, leading the development, assembly, integration, and test of new design camera systems. Shawn also served as a company resource for risk and change management and mentored and facilitated lean events to improve company performance.
Subsequently, Hendricks worked as a Director at L3Harris before joining Terran Orbital Corporation as Senior Vice President Operations. In this role, they were responsible for the operations group containing manufacturing, spacecraft assembly, integration, test, supply chain, CNC shop, and Quality assurance. Shawn managed the P&L for electronic module and spacecraft delivery on $100M+ revenue and achieved significant year-over-year growth.
Currently, Hendricks holds the position of Chief Operating Officer at Orbit Fab.
Shawn Hendricks has a diverse education history. Shawn first attended VHHS, where they obtained their high school diploma. Shawn then went on to study Systems Engineering at the United States Naval Academy, earning their Bachelor of Science degree. After completing their undergraduate studies, Shawn attended the Naval Postgraduate School, where they pursued Aerospace Engineering and obtained a Master of Science degree. Additionally, they also earned an Engineer degree in Aeronautical and Astronautical fields from the same institution.
In addition to their formal education, Shawn Hendricks has also achieved certifications in the IT and project management fields. In December 2012, they obtained the ITIL Foundation certification from AXELOS. In June 2014, they earned the Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute.
