Andrea Hamilton is an experienced professional in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, with a focus on quality control and analytical operations for gene therapies. Currently serving as a volunteer at Main Line Animal Rescue since February 2024, Andrea previously held significant roles at Novartis, Gyroscope Therapeutics, and Freeline, where responsibilities included leading quality control efforts, managing analytical projects, and overseeing the technical transfer of AAV gene therapies. With a PhD in Molecular Microbiology from the University of Sunderland and a strong foundation in analytical development, Andrea's extensive experience spans from developing innovative assays at Enigma Diagnostics to conducting impactful research as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Seattle Children's Hospital.
