Daniel Wise

Daniel Wise has worked in the field of marine operations for over 18 years. Daniel began their career in 2002 as a Commercial Diver for D Gentle Diving. In 2006, they took on the role of Diving Supervisor for SULA Diving. From 2011 to 2014, they worked for Pelamis Wave Power as a Marine Operations Manager and Marine Operations Co-ordinator. In 2014, they began working for AQUATERA LIMITED as Head of Offshore Technology and Senior Consultant (Renewable Energy & Marine Operations). Since 2016, they have been the Operations Manager for Orbital Marine Power Ltd.

Daniel Wise obtained a Master of Science in Marine Resource Development and Protection from Heriot-Watt University between 2001 and 2002. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Marine Biology from Bangor University between 1998 and 2001. Daniel also holds a variety of certifications, including a Yacht Master offshore COC from the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) obtained in 2015, a Diving Technician from the Association of Scuba Service Engineers & Technicians, an Efficient Deck Hand from the Standards of Training Certification & Watchkeeping, a Certificate in Chartering from Lloyd's Maritime Academy, a Diving Supervisor from the Association of Diving Contractors UK & Ireland (UK ADC Ltd), an HSE Surface Supplied (Diving) from the Health and Safety Executive, an MCA Boat Master Tier 2 from the Maritime and Coastguard Agency, a National General Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health from NEBOSH, an OPITO Banksman & Slinger Stage 1, and an OPITO Control of Work for Performing Authorities.
