Nico Montoya

Nico Montoya is an experienced aerospace professional with a diverse background in propulsion engineering and manufacturing operations. Currently serving as a Founding Engineer at Orbital Operations, Nico is focused on developing next-generation space deterrence systems. Previous roles include Head of Rocket Propulsion at Ares Industries, where significant advancements in solid rocket booster design and testing were achieved, and CEO at Rain Barrels International. Prior experience includes key positions at Stoke Space, Relativity Space, BLUE ORIGIN, SpaceX, Lockheed Martin, and Northrop Grumman Corporation, focusing on propulsion development, integrated manufacturing operations, and engine assembly for multiple high-profile rocket programs. Nico holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from UC San Diego.
