Brian Castro

Brian Castro has worked as a Software Engineer since 2015. Brian began their career at Ampex Data Systems Corporation, where they developed a web-based GUI to replace a custom CLI using JavaScript, Python, and Flask. Brian then worked at Pinterest from 2017 to 2018, where they updated an internal content review tool using Python, AngularJS, and JavaScript. In 2018, they were a Software Engineer at Google, where they upgraded the Google Analytics Partner Analytics Gallery to meet current Google code standards and new specs. From 2019 to 2020, they worked at Badge List and Virta Health as a Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer, respectively. At Badge List, they worked as a contractor via TechSource Inc, redeveloping the back-end of a public-facing web-application for a client. At Virta Health, they added features to a full-stack web application for patient onboarding, developing a backend written in Python and Flask, and a front end using Typescript and React. Currently, they are a Software Engineer at Orbital Sidekick.

Brian Castro received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Geomechanics from the University of Rochester in 2013. Brian began their studies in 2008.
