Dan Katz

Dan Katz is the CEO and Co-Founder of Orbital Sidekick. Dan has over four years of experience as a Senior R&D/Propulsion Engineer, working on projects such as LADEE, SmallSats, and LEO constellations. Dan was also the Propulsion Subsystem Manager, responsible for product structure design, generating system performance specifications, and scheduling and planning component reviews, integration, subsystem testing, and delivery of propulsion modules to next higher assembly. In addition, they were the Launch Base Responsible Engineer, leading all propulsion-related operations at launch base, including interfacing with launch vehicle supplier, launch site range safety, and spacecraft customer representatives. Dan also served as the Lead Mission Analyst, responsible for planning and coordinating satellite orbit raising maneuvers with internal Orbit Dynamics group. Dan has a wealth of experience in performance analysis, failure review boards, and working corrective action boards.

Dan Katz has a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Bucknell University, and a Certification from Coursera in An Introduction to Interactive Programming in Python. Dan did not finish their Master of Science (M.S.) in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Purdue University.
