Director Of RNA Sciences at Orbital Therapeutics

Kristen Ott's work experience begins with their current role as the Associate Director of RNA Biology at Orbital Therapeutics, which they started in February 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Orna Therapeutics from August 2019 to February 2023, first as a Scientist and then as the Senior Scientist and Platform Innovation Lead. Before joining Orna Therapeutics, Ott worked at Moderna from March 2014 to August 2019 in various roles, including Scientist, Principal Research Associate, and Senior Research Associate. Kristen also served as a Graduate Student at Boston University School of Medicine from 2008 to 2013. Ott's career started as an Undergraduate Researcher at Bay Path University from September 2007 to May 2008, where they collaborated with Dr. Ed Bernstine on a project focusing on the cell wall structure of the yeast S. cerivisae.

Kristen Ott completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biotechnology from Bay Path University, where they studied from 2004 to 2008. Following that, they pursued their Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Genetics and Genomics at the Boston University School of Medicine, in which they were enrolled from 2008 to 2013. Kristen Ott also obtained a certification as a Trained Mentor from Mentor Collective in October 2022.
