Roy Frumkis

Roy Frumkis has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Roy is currently a Deep Learning Data Engineer at Orca AI, where they are responsible for designing and implementing deep learning algorithms, as well as mining and processing real-world data. Prior to this, they worked as a Product QA Analyst at Orca AI, where they played a vital role in testing and integrating the product, system, and software.

Before joining Orca AI, Roy was the Founder and Global Community General Manager of the Migdalor Alumni Network at Migdalor | Israeli Naval Academy Alumni Association. In this role, they established a professional community to foster cooperation and growth opportunities among alumni, resulting in a network of over 900 members across various professional groups.

Roy also worked at NaNose Medical as a Product and Lab Manager. In this capacity, they oversaw testing and experimentation with chemical and electrical sensors, analyzing the data and developing production plans based on the results. Roy also managed the activities of the laboratory and ensured the integrity of the equipment.

Roy's earlier career was in the Israeli Navy, where they held several leadership positions. As a Course Director at the Israeli Naval Academy, they trained cadets in the mechanic course and implemented new technical systems and training methods. Roy also served as the Lead Instructor of the Advanced Naval Command Course, where they trained future Chief Engineers and commanders of the mechanic department. Prior to that, they were the Deputy commander of a missile ship and later served as the Chief Engineer of the 3rd Flotilla, managing operational schedules and leading a team of 30+ individuals.

Overall, Roy Frumkis has a strong background in technical leadership, project management, and data analysis, with experience in both the private and military sectors.

Roy Frumkis has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Tel Aviv University, which they obtained from 2020 to 2024. Prior to that, from 2013 to 2014, they studied at the University of Haifa and earned a BA degree in Multi/Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Business Administration, Economics, and Marine Science. Roy also attended the Israeli Naval Academy from 2012 to 2014, where they pursued Mechanical Engineering and served as the Chief Engineer of a Missile Ship. In addition to their formal education, Roy has obtained certifications from Udemy, including "The Data Science Course: Complete Data Science Bootcamp" in March 2022 and "Python Programming: Advanced OOP" in February 2021.
