Robert Francis-Jones

Head of Hardware at ORCA Computing

Robert Francis-Jones has worked in a variety of roles since 2011. Robert began as a Summer Studentship in the Biophotonics Research Unit at Gloucester Royal Hospital in 2011. From 2015 to 2018, they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate and Research Assistant at the University of Bath. In 2018, they became a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Oxford. Since 2019, they have worked as a Head of Hardware and Research Fellow at ORCA Computing.

Robert Francis-Jones received a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Quantum Optics and Single Photon sources from the University of Bath in 2015. Prior to that, they earned an MSci (Hons.) Natural Sciences in Physics with Chemistry from the University of Bath in 2012. Before that, they attended Alcester Grammar School from 2006 to 2008.
