Katie Nokovich, LMSW, currently serves as a Veterinary Social Worker at Orchard Park Veterinary Medical Center since May 2022, focusing on the emotional and psychological well-being of pet owners. Prior to this role, Katie accumulated extensive experience as a Medical Social Worker at Hospice Buffalo from August 2016 to April 2022, providing support to patients and families facing end-of-life issues. Early career highlights include working as a Part Time Support Counselor at Transitional Services, Inc., where Katie implemented Person Centered Planning for the geriatric population, and as a Graduate Intern and Undergraduate Intern at Hospice Buffalo and Sisters of Charity Hospital, respectively, gaining valuable experience in care planning, advocacy, and bereavement support. Katie holds a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University at Buffalo and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Daemen University.
