Marcel van Houten

Marcel van Houten has extensive experience in supply chain and procurement management. Marcel has held roles such as Director Global Supply Chain at Orchard Therapeutics, Founder & Owner of AXL549 GmbH & Beach Towel Twist™, Associate Director Patient Supply Europe at bluebird bio, and Head Of Procurement at Hawa Sliding Solutions AG. Prior to these roles, they held senior management positions at RUAG, RUAG Aerospace, and Johnson & Johnson. Marcel also took sabbaticals to travel the world in both 2000 and 2013.

Marcel van Houten completed their Technischer Kaufmann (Specialist in Business Administration and Technical Management) degree at KV Zug from 1996 to 1998. Marcel later pursued an Executive BBA at China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) from 2005 to 2008. Additionally, they obtained a Certificate in Customer Experience Management from Arizona State University in 2021 and is a Six Sigma Green Belt certified professional.
