Rifat Iqbal

Rifat Iqbal has a diverse work experience spanning over 9 years. They began their career at Parkdean Holidays, where they worked as an IT/IS Information Systems Support Assistant from June 2011 to August 2012. During this time, they supported the project team in Sharepoint development, provided support to off-site employees, and maintained a custom-built software application.

In 2015, Rifat joined Hewlett Packard Enterprise as a Junior Software Developer, where they worked until September 2016. They then transitioned to the role of a Technical Consultant until March 2017. Additionally, they briefly worked as an HP Exstream Developer from July 2015 to September 2015.

From 2017 to 2020, Rifat worked at Ravensworth Printing Services Limited. They initially joined as a Junior Developer in March 2017 and then progressed to become the sole Front-end Developer of a web-to-print platform and web apps from January 2019 to December 2020. In this role, they utilized technologies such as Vue.js, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. They also worked as a Developer from September 2018 to January 2019, where they wrote Java APIs, conducted server migration, and managed and maintained tasks in AWS using technologies like AWS, Solr, Java, Docker, and Linux/MacOS.

Currently, Rifat is employed at Oak Engage as a Frontend Developer since December 2020.

Rifat Iqbal completed their education in the field of information technology and management information systems. Rifat first attended Northumbria University from 2008 to 2012, culminating in a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Information Systems. Later, from 2012 to 2014, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Management Information Systems from the same university. In addition to their formal education, Rifat Iqbal also obtained the Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) certification from the Scrum Alliance in March 2023.
