John Slavick

John Slavick has a career spanning over a decade in software engineering. John started their career at Language Computer in 2006 as a Software Engineer. John then worked at MediaCart as a Software Engineer for a brief period before joining AutoRevo in 2007 as a Software Engineer. After that, they returned to MediaCart as a Software Engineer and worked until 2011.

In 2011, John joined Dealertrack Technologies as a Sr. Software Engineer, where they worked for three years. John then moved to JCPenney in 2015 and served as a Software Engineer II until 2016.

In 2017, John joined WorldVentures as an Android Tech Lead for ten months. Later in the same year, they joined OMG as a Software Engineer and was later promoted to the role of Principal Engineer in January 2020. John continues to work at OMG in this capacity.

John Slavick earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they studied from 2001 to 2005. In addition to their formal education, they obtained various certifications, including "Programming Languages, Part A" from Coursera in September 2017, "The Addicted Brain" from Coursera in August 2014, "Programming Mobile Applications for Android Handheld Systems" from Coursera Verified Certificates in March 2014, "Epidemics - the Dynamics of Infectious Diseases" from Coursera in December 2013, and "Introduction to Genetics and Evolution" from Coursera in December 2012.
