Sergio Valenzuela

Sergio Valenzuela has over 18 years of professional experience in software engineering and system administration. Sergio currently works as a Principal Engineer at OMG since 2021. Prior to that, they were employed at Zego (Powered by PayLease) from 2009 to 2021, where they held various roles including Principal Software Engineer, Software Engineering Manager, Software Engineering Lead, Senior Software Engineer, and Software Engineer. From 2003 to 2009, they worked at AT&T as a Senior Systems Analyst and Systems Analyst, where they were responsible for web development (LAMP), tools/automation programming, and Linux system administration. Sergio also designed and implemented a system with a web-based front-end to identify, track, and report remediation of security vulnerabilities across 12000 Unix servers, and built a website for Unix user account management system supporting 2 million accounts on 4000 servers.

Sergio Valenzuela attended St. Augustine High School from 1991 to 1995 and obtained a High School degree. Sergio then went on to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Pomona College from 1995 to 2000.
