Paul Heijmans

Paul Heijmans is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in software development and engineering management across various sectors, including finance, public services, and industry. Currently serving as Director of Software Development - Open Source at Sopra Steria since August 2021, Paul oversees over 20 engineering DevOps teams focused on mobile and cloud-based solutions utilizing diverse technologies such as Java, Kotlin, and Azure. Prior roles include Senior Vice President of Software R&D at Ultimaker, Vice President of Software Delivery R&D at Backbase, and various managerial positions at Solera Netherlands and Delta Lloyd. Paul began their career as a consultant at Accenture, specializing in technical projects in the communications and high-tech market segments. Paul holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology and a Propaedeutic diploma in Business Administration from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
