Arianna Vecchio currently serves as a Ricercatrice at Fondazione Santa Lucia, focusing on psycho-neurophysiological research related to pain modulation induced by touch in spinal patients and neurotypical participants. Concurrently, Arianna holds the position of Psicologo at Ordine degli Psicologi del Lazio since March 2020. Previously, Arianna worked as a Senior Postdoctoral Fellow at Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, conducting research on the relationships between gastrointestinal, cerebral, and cardiac activities, particularly in the context of social stress. Arianna completed a Doctor PhD at Sapienza Università di Roma, contributing significant insights into the interactions between individual disposition, perceived pain, and empathy-related analgesia, with implications for chronic pain treatment.
