Riley Marsden

Riley Marsden is an experienced Data Management Specialist currently at Ordnance Survey since March 2022, previously serving as Business Intelligence Technical Lead at Barnsley MBC from November 2006 to March 2022. In this role, Riley developed and implemented a comprehensive data management policy, led over 50 business intelligence projects, and directed the Council's intelligence response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Additional experience includes positions as Acting Head of IT, IT Systems Manager, and Geographic Information Officer, where significant achievements included award-winning development of the Local Land and Property Gazetteer. Riley also served as Regional Chair for the Yorkshire and the Humber ALO group and began a career as a Customer Advisor and GIS Analyst at Universitale Net Centres Ltd, contributing to a 50% increase in successful marketing outcomes. Riley holds a BA in Geography from the University of Leeds.
