Raúl Gómez-Rojas

Raúl Gómez-Rojas is an accomplished music director and conductor with extensive experience in the field. Since June 2016, Raúl has served as the Music Director for the Metropolitan Youth Symphony and has held the position of Resident Music Director at the Oregon Ballet Theatre since October 2022. Raúl’s background includes roles such as Music Director at Compleat Stage Performing Arts and Assistant Conductor with the Louisiana Sinfonietta. Additionally, Raúl was the Artistic Director for The Kids' Orchestra and a doctoral candidate in Orchestral Conducting at Louisiana State University, where Raúl also earned a Master's in Violin Performance. Education includes a Bachelor’s in Music Performance from Universidad Estatal a Distancia de Costa Rica. Raúl was also a Conducting Fellow at the Aspen Music Festival and School in 2011.
