Jared Wiener

Jared Wiener is an experienced professional in economic development and government affairs, currently serving as the State Government Affairs Director at Lumen Technologies since August 2022 and a board member for both Oregon Business & Industry and Oregon Telecommunications Association. Previously, Jared held significant roles at Prosper Portland, including Technology & Media Industry Liaison and Economic Development Manager, where efforts were focused on enhancing economic growth and creating an inclusive tech workforce in the region. Additional experience includes serving on various boards, such as the Buckman Community Association and Oregon Story Board, as well as political fundraising as Finance Director for the North Carolina Democratic Party. Educational credentials include a Master's in City and Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a BA in Political Science from North Carolina State University.
