Erica Jones Degenhardt

Erica Jones Degenhardt is currently serving as a Nurse Practitioner at The Oregon Clinic Gastroenterology since September 2024. In addition, Degenhardt has been an instructor at Oregon Health & Science University since September 2010, focusing on enhancing collaboration between hospital-based Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRN) and the School of Nursing, as well as coordinating clinical placements for Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) students. Previous roles include Advanced Practice Provider Manager and Lead APP for Surgery, where Degenhardt represented over 500 APRNs and Physician Assistants across OHSU. As an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Degenhardt managed inpatient care for patients with complex surgical needs, specifically those with pancreatic cancer. Prior nursing experience includes working in the Cardiothoracic ICU at UCLA Health System and the Cardiothoracic and med/surg unit at NYU Medical Center. Degenhardt holds a Master’s in Nursing from UCLA and a Bachelor’s in Nursing from the University of Rochester, along with a Bachelor’s in Sociology from California State University, Northridge.
