Makena Hervey

Makena Hervey serves as a Medical Assistant at Oregon Health & Science University since July 2024. Prior experience includes roles as Ski Patrol at Deer Valley Resort, where tasks involved patient care and mountain safety, and as a Guide for San Juan Outfitters, leading multi-day sea kayaking, biking, and hiking excursions. Makena has also worked as a Ski Instructor at Deer Valley Resort and held various illustration and design positions at Flux Magazine, Emerald Media Group, Ethos Magazine, and Unbound Journal, contributing to graphic representation and visual storytelling. Academic credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Art and Technology from the University of Oregon, complemented by a Media Studies minor.
