Guadalupe Velazquez is an experienced legal assistant currently employed at OPB since December 2021. Previously, Guadalupe held multiple roles at the Immigration Counseling Service including Notary Public and UAC Legal Assistant from July 2019 to March 2024, and worked as a Client Coordinator from October 2018 to July 2019. Prior to these positions, Guadalupe contributed to Portland State University from September 2014 to July 2018 in various capacities such as Office Assistant to the Office of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs, Office Assistant to the Office of the President, Orientation Leader, Student Ambassador, and a member of the PSU Cultural Resource Centers Leadership Team. Guadalupe also interned at OPAL Environmental Justice Oregon as a YEJA College Intern Coordinator in Summer 2016 after serving as an Organizer in Training. Guadalupe started professional development as a Summer Camp Counselor for Portland Parks & Recreation from June 2013 to August 2014. Guadalupe earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science from Portland State University and has additional education in Sociology from Hanyang University.
