Isabel Zacharias

Isabel Zacharias is a seasoned media professional with extensive experience in arts and culture journalism and radio broadcasting. Currently serving as the On Air Host for KMHD Jazz Radio at Oregon Public Broadcasting since June 2017, Isabel independently hosts a daily prime-time jazz show, manages social media content, conducts interviews, and oversees all digital publishing for the station. Previous roles include Freelance Arts & Culture Writer for Willamette Week, where Isabel wrote features and reviews across various mediums, and a similar position with Eugene Weekly, which included notable interviews with prominent musical artists. Isabel also held the position of Editor in Chief and Publisher at Oregon Voice Magazine, and has experience as a music DJ at KWVA Eugene, where regard was given to new and alternative artists. Additionally, Isabel interned at StoryCorps, conducting interviews that were later featured on NPR. Isabel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Oregon.
