Alexis Eichler has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and sectors. They have held roles in development, grants coordination, program management, research, and legal assistance. Their most recent position, starting in July 2022, is the Director of Development for Agricultural Sciences at the Oregon State University Foundation. Prior to this, they worked as the Associate Director of Development and Assistant Director of Development for Agricultural Sciences at the same organization. Before joining the Oregon State University Foundation, Alexis served as a Grants Coordinator at Women Aware, Inc. in 2017-2018. They also worked as an Assistant Director of Programs at NYU School of Professional Studies from 2014 to 2016 and as a Programme Associate at The Atlantic Philanthropies in 2014. Alexis has experience in program management and development, as evidenced by their role as a Program Specialist at PowerPlay NYC, Inc. from 2013 to 2014. They also gained research experience as a Research Intern at Wellspring Advisors in 2012 and as a Reparations Research intern at Informal Sector Service Centre (INSEC) in 2011. Alexis began their career as a Legal Assistant at The Law Office of Heidi J. Meyers in 2010.
Alexis Eichler obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Anthropology and Sociology from Binghamton University, which they attended from 2006 to 2010. In 2009, they also attended the School for International Training for a summer program in Uganda and Rwanda, studying Peace and Conflict Studies in the Lake Victoria Basin. Following their undergraduate studies, Alexis pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in International Affairs at The New School, where they studied from 2010 to 2012. In addition to their formal education, they obtained the certification of Open Water Scuba Diver from PADI in April 2014.
