Anne Gearhart serves as the Head Advisor and Instructor of Horticulture at Oregon State University since April 2021, overseeing the undergraduate program and supporting students with academic and personal challenges. Previous roles include Adjunct Assistant Professor at College of San Mateo, where instruction focused on Introductory Biology and Wildlife Biology, as well as Interim Assistant Project Director for the HSI-STEM program aimed at supporting Hispanic students in the sciences. Anne has held various teaching positions at institutions such as Skyline College, College of Marin, and City College of San Francisco, providing a broad array of biology courses. Additional experience includes managing the GeneConnection program at BABEC to enhance biotechnology education in high schools and contributing to curriculum development at the Lawrence Hall of Science. Anne Gearhart holds a Master of Science in Botany/Plant Biology from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology: Environmental and Conservation from Occidental College.
