Jennifer Burns is a highly experienced safety and health program manager currently employed at Oregon Zoo since April 2022. Prior to this role, Jennifer held positions at Darigold from September 2015 to April 2022, including Environment Health Safety Manager and Environmental Health and Safety Specialist. Earlier experience includes serving as an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist at Agilyx and as a Research Assistant at Hemcon Medical Technologies, where Jennifer co-authored a patent and developed various testing methods for medical devices. Additionally, Jennifer's experience encompasses a manufacturing technician role, where familiarity with GMP regulations and FDA guidelines was demonstrated, as well as training and supervising new employees. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology and Anthropology from Oregon State University, completed in 2005.
