Micah Reese is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in diving safety and operations. Currently serving as the Diving Safety Officer at Oregon Zoo since October 2015, Micah plays a crucial role in enhancing the zoo's success and contributing to the American Academy of Underwater Sciences. In addition, Micah has been a Senior Diving Officer and Project Coordinator for the Oregon Coast Project since January 2010, focusing on the historic narrative of WWII crewmembers aboard the SC 536. Previous roles include Facilities Maintenance Supervisor at Columbia Clinical Laboratories Inc., where Micah managed construction and repair projects from December 2005 to April 2013, and a freelance production assistant at Walt Disney World. Micah's educational background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies from Portland State University and a Bachelor of Theology from Alabama - Open Bible College, along with studies in Zoology/Animal Biology.
