Helen Monroe

Helen Monroe has extensive work experience in the publishing industry. Helen started their career in 1996 as a Bookclub and Co-edition Manager at Ebury, Random House UK. Helen then worked as a Foreign Rights Manager at The Ivy Press from 1998 to 1999. Following that, they joined Virgin Books as a Rights Manager from 1999 to 2001. Helen also worked as a freelancer at FIL - Guadalajara Book Fair (Mexico) from 2001 to 2002. Most recently, they held the role of Senior Rights Manager at O'Reilly Media from 2005 until July 2022, and they are currently the Head of Rights at the same company since February 2022.

Helen Monroe began their education at the Lycee Francais de Barcelone from 1981 to 1985, although no degree or specific field of study was mentioned during this period. Helen then attended the Lycee Francais Charles de Gaulle from 1986 to 1987, where they obtained a Baccalaureat degree with a focus on Biology, Maths, and Physics. Following this, Helen pursued a BSc degree at the University of St Andrews from 1987 to 1990, majoring in Psychology, Philosophy, and Physiology.
