Hooman Foroudastan has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Starting in 2012, they worked as a Promotions Intern at Independent Weekly. In 2012, they also joined Best Buy as a Computing/Tablets Sales Consultant, where they provided product knowledge and successfully sold Geek Squad services. Hooman then transitioned to a role as a Geek Squad Consultation Agent, providing technical support and managing client check-ins and check-outs.

In 2015, Hooman joined Flex as a Customer Service Representative, troubleshooting and resolving smartphone software and hardware issues. Hooman also documented customer interactions and provided warranty exchanges and product knowledge.

From 2016 to 2019, Hooman worked at Lulu Press, Inc. in various roles. As a Customer Voice Advocate, they taught users how to utilize publishing tools and resolved customer issues through email, phone, and live chat support. Hooman then became a Business Analyst, managing in-app messaging and onboarding strategies, as well as developing and maintaining a contextualized "Knowledge Base." Prior to that, they worked as a Junior Web Developer, contributing to version-controlled projects and building responsive UI components.

In 2022, Hooman joined Awtomic as a Support Engineer, where they developed Shopify theme customizations and assisted Shopify merchants in maintaining their stores and providing value to shoppers.

Currently, Hooman is working at 2U as a Teaching Assistant & Tutor, a position they have held since February 2022. Hooman provides support and tutoring services to students.

Most recently, Hooman started working at O'Reilly Media in August 2022 as a Technical Success Specialist.

Hooman Foroudastan's education history begins with obtaining an Associate's degree in Digital Audio Production & Sound Design from Living Arts College in 2009. Following this, Hooman attended Shaw University from 2009 to 2012, where they completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication/Broadcast Production. In 2018, Hooman enrolled at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and obtained a Full Stack MERN Certification in Web Development in 2019.
