Gareth Withers

Gareth Withers, CA has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Gareth began their career at EY, where they served as an Audit Executive and later progressed to the roles of Manager and Senior Manager. At EY, Gareth worked with a wide range of industry sectors, including mining, technology, manufacturing, and distribution, serving both public and private clients.

In 2017, Gareth joined Graymont as a Senior Financial Reporting Specialist before moving on to Orezone Gold Corporation in 2019. At Orezone Gold Corporation, they held the positions of Corporate Controller and later Director of Finance.

Throughout their career, Gareth has demonstrated proficiency in financial reporting, assurance, and management. Additionally, they have actively contributed to the Scottish Canadian Business Association of British Columbia (ScotCanBC), where they served as President, Vice President, and Director. ScotCanBC aims to promote and expand trade and investment between Scotland and British Columbia.

Gareth Withers, CA has a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) degree in Business and Accounting from The University of Edinburgh, which they completed from 1997 to 2001. In 1999 and 2000, they also studied at Université Paris Dauphine - PSL, obtaining a Magistère degree in Gestion et comptabilité (business and accounting). Furthermore, Gareth studied at The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland to earn their CA qualification in 2004. Gareth also completed their studies at Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) in 2013.
