Beatrix Lahoupe

Head Implementation Support Branch at OPCW

Beatrix Lahoupe currently serves as the Head of the Implementation Support Branch at the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) since November 2020. Previous roles include Head of Section for Programme Design within the Programme of Action for Cancer Therapy at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) from November 2014 to April 2019, and Departmental Programme Coordinator and Senior Advisor at the IAEA Department of Technical Cooperation between January 2011 and October 2014. Beatrix also has experience as a Strategic Planning Officer for the United Nations Mission to Sudan from July 2007 to April 2010, and as a Programme Officer in the Department of Safeguards at the IAEA from October 2000 to June 2007. Beatrix holds a Master's degree in International Politics from Université libre de Bruxelles, completed in 1998.
