Johan Rautenbach is an experienced legal professional currently serving as Director and Legal Adviser at the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) since November 2021. Prior to this role, Johan held the position of Director and Legal Counsel at IOM - UN Migration from March 2011 to November 2021 and served as Director and Legal Adviser at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) from June 2002 to January 2011. Johan's extensive career at OPCW began in September 1993, where initial roles included Head of Human Resources and Deputy Legal Adviser. Johan holds an LLM in Law from the University of South Africa and an LLB in Law from the University of the Free State, along with St 10 from JBM Hertzog.
