Simran Kataria currently serves as a Policy Officer at the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), where experience includes roles such as Associate Political Affairs and Protocol Officer and Assistant Political Affairs and Protocol Officer since September 2020. Prior experience includes serving as a Political and Commercial Section Trainee at the Embassy of India in The Hague, where responsibilities involved advising the Permanent Representative to the OPCW and participating in the International Court of Justice delegation for the Jadhav case. Additional experience includes a trainee position in the Americas Division at the Ministry of External Affairs in India, along with internships that provided exposure to legal research and political matters. Simran holds an Advanced Master of Science in International Relations and Diplomacy from Leiden University and an Honours Bachelor’s degree with Distinction in Political Science and Government from the University of Toronto.
