Amsalu Efrem Yemene

Amsalu Efrem Yemene is an accomplished Senior Scientist at Organix, focusing on the synthesis of small molecules, lipids, and active pharmaceutical ingredients since July 2021. Previously, Amsalu served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, where responsibilities included synthesizing organic dyes for virus detection and developing dye-sensitized solar cells. Amsalu has also held a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position at Hong Kong Baptist University, contributing to the design and synthesis of novel organic semiconductors and organic electronic devices. Early experience includes a Technical Assistant role at Arbaminch University, involving teaching and water quality testing. Amsalu holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering (Organic Synthesis) from Nanyang Technological University, a Master's in Chemical Engineering from Xiamen University, and a Bachelor's in Applied Chemistry from Addis Ababa University, complemented by an Associate's degree in Chemistry from Kotebe College of Teachers Education.
