Dr. Rachel Taylor

Dr. Rachel Taylor has a diverse work experience in the field of autism and behavior analysis. Dr. Rachel is currently a Board Member at The Council of Autism Service Providers since March 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Consultant at CABA Consulting from June 2022. Dr. Rachel was a part of the Scientific Council at Organization for Autism Research starting from February 2020. Before that, they served as an Advisor at the Cambridge Center for Behavioral Studies from May 2019. Dr. Taylor was also the CEO of the Center for Applied Behavior Analysis (CABA) from January 2015 to June 2022. Dr. Rachel served as the 2020 Conference Chair at the California Association for Behavior Analysis from May 2019 to May 2020. Additionally, they have been a member of the Special Education District Advisory Committee at the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District from September 2014 to January 2016.

Prior to these roles, Dr. Taylor worked at Intercare Therapy, Inc. where they held multiple positions from September 2010 to December 2014. Dr. Rachel started as a Consultant responsible for introducing an ABA-based model to service delivery for individuals diagnosed with autism and related disorders. Dr. Rachel then became the Director of Research, Training & Development and later served as the Chief Clinical Officer.

Dr. Taylor also has academic experience and held positions as a Professor in the Department of Psychology at California State University, Los Angeles from September 2012 to December 2013, and at California State University-Channel Islands from September 2012 to August 2013.

Dr. Rachel Taylor completed their education with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Behavior Analysis from the University of Nevada, Reno, from 2000 to 2004. Prior to their doctoral studies, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Education from Marlboro College, where they attended between 1994 and 1998. Dr. Taylor also attended the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts from 1990 to 1994. The field of study and degree for their high school education are unspecified.
