Organogenesis
Charles Young has over two decades of work experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Their most recent role is as Senior Director of Manufacturing at Organogenesis since 2022. Previously, from 2016 to 2022, they held various positions at Finch Therapeutics/OpenBiome, including Senior Director and Head of Manufacturing, Senior Director of Quality/CMC, and Director of Technical Operations/Manufacturing. Charles managed manufacturing, donor operations, material management, and fulfillment, supporting Phase 1 to Phase 3 DS. Charles also oversaw lot disposition, recalls, and release of DS, DP, and research products. Young started their career at Sanofi Genzyme in 2006, where they held roles such as Upstream Operations Manager, Manufacturing Specialist Supervisor, and Principal QC Analyst. Charles performed investigations, authored records, and resolved daily issues with assays. Prior to that, they worked at EMD Pharmaceuticals and TKT as a QC Analyst and Research Analyst II, respectively. Young also gained experience at Brigham and Womens, Abbot Labs, and FormaTech Inc, holding various roles.
Charles Young has a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and chemistry from Gordon College. Charles also holds a Master's degree in Biology, General from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
