Fernanda Tavares

Fernanda Tavares is an experienced medical professional specializing in pharmacovigilance and clinical safety, currently serving as Associate Vice President & Global Head of Qualified Person for Pharmacovigilance at Organon from August 2022 to March 2025. In this role, Fernanda leads PV governance, ensuring compliance with global regulatory requirements, and oversees the Global QPPV Office and Affiliate Pharmacovigilance staff. Prior to joining Organon, Fernanda held various leadership positions at GSK from July 2011 to July 2022, including Senior Director roles in Global Safety and Vaccines Safety Evaluation & Risk Management. Earlier, Fernanda worked as a Scientific Consultant at 4Clinics and as a Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Concepción Palacios Maternity Hospital and Razetti Medical Center. Educational qualifications include an MD in Gynecology & Obstetrics from Universidad Central de Venezuela and a Doctor of Medicine degree from the same institution.
